moonwork missive: last quarter ๐
last quarter moon, first monday after two weekends in a row at an intensive training, second day of bleeding; today's practice so far has been tea & a half-hour yoga practice.
for tea? rose, orange blossom, orange peel, lemon verbena & honey. then red raspberry leaf & lemon balm, sipped with a hot water bottle on my belly.
for asana practice? restorative postures only. the sequence is planned to be half an hour, but i took a little longer because i like janu sirsasana on my period & it wasn't in the original sequence, and i lengthened how long i spent in many postures this morning. it was already a slow practice but i wanted it to be slower. i had asked my longtime teacher to plan some sequences for me because as i'm returning to more regular practice, i kept getting stuck with decision-making, even though i technically definitely know how to assess what i need & sequence asana. help is for what you actually need help for, not to deny yourself because you shouldn't need it.
