about
bodywitchery workshop is an online somatic practice space facilitated by hannah harris-sutro, branching out from moonwork somatics. the moonwork core cohort is an intimate, long-term group of crazy, chronically ill, & neurodivergent queers that has been meeting to share practice & cocreate connection & culture online most tuesdays since 2018. you can read more about moonwork (& see if we are accepting applications) on my website. over here on ghost, moonwork invites all queers & any non-queers who love & respect us to join us in a wider circle of practice:
free moonwork minis
text posts of bite-sized somatic practices you can do in 5-10 minutes, once or daily for the week, published most mondays. pwyc tips for these mini practices are welcome, but not at all expected or obligatory. if you want access to the archive of all moonwork minis, there's a subscription tier for that too!
moonwork opens
weekly(ish) live somatic practices where we gather for 30-45 minutes on fridays at 12:30 pm ET to resource & digest in rhythm with the moon phase. our calendar is updated monthly & links are published 1 hour before every scheduled practice. moonwork opens is offered at three tiers: $33/month for low-income QTBIPOC, trans women & queers living on fixed income/social assistance; $66/month for everyone; and $99/month for anyone who is able to afford it, particularly straight people & people with intergenerational wealth. tiers run on the honour system; please consider your full-spectrum financial situation when choosing your tier: income, debt, caregiving obligations, intergenerational class background, race & vectors of colonization. this model relies on those who need to accessing lower-cost tiers, and those who are able committing to higher-cost tiers.
lineage
my somatics lineages include somatic experiencing (SEP™), generative somatics primarily via my mentor vanissar tarakali, biodynamic craniosacral therapy, turtle cypher fka turtle tank school for radical purpose, leatherdyke community, and mad pride. my everyday is rooted in transformative justice (a primarily Indigenous lineage) & abolition (a primarily Black lineage), through textual study & kitchen table practice & personal relationships. my approach is grounded in mad pride/disability justice models, particularly peer education & support, harm reduction, and queer lineages of radical desire, consent & power. my training is lifelong & intentionally outside institutional/academic frameworks of social work, psychology, psychiatry, and policing.
we practice together for the shared purpose of reweaving an embodied & generative cultural fabric that liberates us all from the collective fragmentation of queerphobia & empire.
